Each year the Australian Refugee Association (ARA) works with around 3,500 courageous people who arrive in South Australia, all firmly focused on creating a better life for their families.
Many refugees and migrants arrive with limited financial resources. This makes it difficult to secure housing, especially as you’re also navigating a completely unfamiliar social services system and dealing with cultural and language barriers. Add to this the need to find work, and the dream of a stable life in a new country can start to seem beyond reach.
With our wonderful case managers from Burmese, Bhutanese, Afghan, Arabic, African and South American backgrounds, ARA’s free services are here for you to overcome the initial obstacles and start building your new life.
